Americana – AWC Community Band Concert

On March 9th, the community is invited to join the Arizona Western College Community Band for the first concert of the spring semester.

The concert’s theme, “Americana,” is a tribute to the traditional genres used by American composers; the concert includes a march by John Philip Sousa, a suite of dances by the Broadway and Hollywood composer Robert Russell Bennett, and a blues composition for concert band by radio and television pioneer Jack End.

The event is free and open to the public, although donations to benefit AWC music scholarships are accepted.
