Child Seat Check Up Event

The Yuma Police Department will be hosting a Child Seat Check-Up Event. The event will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in the Yuma Police Department’s parking lot, 1500 South 1st Avenue.
During the event, certified child passenger safety technicians will inspect vehicle child seats for proper installation and use. Please bring your child, car seat, seat instructions, and vehicle owner’s manual to the event.
Properly installed child seats maximize the child’s protection in the event of a crash.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children ages 1 through 12 years old.1
