Welcome to “Yuma Rocks,” a thrilling geology event designed to ignite curiosity and exploration in young adventurers!
Journey with us through the unique geological landscape of the Sonoran Desert region, where ancient rock formations tell stories of the Earth’s history. Children will delve into interactive presentations to uncover the secrets of the desert’s geological features, learning about the formation processes that shaped the rugged terrain over millions of years.
Through hands-on activities, they’ll sift through sand to discover hidden treasures and engage in tactile experiences, feeling the textures of different rocks and minerals found in this arid environment and take home a treasure or two.
From crafting desert-inspired rock art to unraveling the mysteries of sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks, “Yuma Rocks” promises an unforgettable adventure filled with geological wonders.
