DESCRIPTION:Imperial Valley– Caltrans welcomes the public to bring non-hazardous\, unwanted household items to the Clean California Dump Day in both El Centro and Brawley. Caltrans will have staff on-site to accept approved waste and debris free of charge on Saturday\, December 16\, from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. (*or until capacity is reached at the site). \n·       1102 Montenegro Way\, El Centro CA 92243 – Caltrans El Centro Maintenance Yard \n·       200 South Palm Ave\, Brawley CA 92227 – Caltrans Brawley Maintenance Yard \nThe dump day events are part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s Clean California initiative\, a sweeping $1.2 billion\, multiyear clean-up effort led by Caltrans to keep roads and waterways free of litter\, create thousands of jobs and transform state and local public spaces through beautification efforts. As part of the litter collection component\, Caltrans is hosting free dump day events where the public can dispose of household waste safely and properly for free to decrease highway debris and illegal dumping. Caltrans District 11 has held more than 40 such events in San Diego and Imperial Counties since launching Clean California in Summer 2021. \nProhibited items that will not be accepted include hazardous waste (batteries\, paint\, oils\, flammables\, etc.)\, construction debris (concrete\, dirt\, asphalt\, asbestos)\, compressed gas\, aerosols\, treated wood waste\, refrigerators\, and freezers. Four mattresses and four tires separated from the rims per household will be accepted. Scheduled events and prohibited items are subject to change. DESCRIPTION:Join Vitalant with NEWS11\, ABC5 and Telemundo 3 to build Yuma’s blood supply during the lowest week of the year for donations.  Yuma Holiday Heroes blood donors will help save Arizona kids like 7-year-old Braden\, who was diagnosed last year with leukemia.  During his 138-day stay in the hospital\, he underwent chemotherapy\, required more than 30 blood transfusions and was declared cancer free one year ago on Thanksgiving Day.  Braden and his family are so thankful for all the heroes who donated blood and played a vital part in helping him to beat leukemia. \n  \nFriday – Sunday\, Dec. 28 – 30\, 2023\nYuma Palms\nBloodmobile Near Farmer’s Market\n1375 S.
