AWC Community Band presents Myles Prower Davis

The community is invited to join the Arizona Western College Community Band for a spring concert featuring special guest, Los Angeles musician Myles Prower Davis!

Throughout the evening, Davis will perform solos on the clarinet and tenor saxophone alongside the AWC Community Band and AWC Jazz Ensemble. Song for Bettye and An Orange Sky Always Clears, two of Davis’ original compositions, are included in the setlist. An Orange Sky Always Clears is dedicated to Altadena, Calif. following this year’s devastating fires.

The concert will be held on Monday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the 3C Schoening Conference Center of the AWC Yuma Campus. A campus map can be found here.

The event is free and open to the public, although donations to benefit AWC Music Department scholarships will be accepted.

Singing with the Masters – AWC Choral Concert

The AWC Choirs will present their annual concert, “Singing with the Masters,” on March 7th and 9th, featuring selections from jazz standards, traditional spirituals, and inspiring gospel genres.

The Arizona Western College Choirs are excited to present their annual concert, “Singing with the Masters,” on March 7th and 9th.

Featuring the AWC Chamber Singers, Yuma Choral, and soloists, this year’s concert will feature selections from jazz standards, traditional spirituals and inspiring gospel genres.

Both performances are free and open to the public, although donations to benefit AWC Music Department scholarships are greatly appreciated.
