Aquatic Center to host 4th Annual Floating Pumpkin Patch

Join the crew and pick your pumpkin at the City of El Centro Aquatic Center’s 4th Annual Floating Pumpkin Patch on October 28, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

We invite you and your families to this extraordinary event, as the City of El Centro is the only city in the Imperial County that offers such a unique and fun experience for all!

“We invite the whole family to be a part of one of our most unique events in the Imperial Valley,” said City of El Centro Mayor Martha Cardenas-Singh. “From swimming to picking your own pumpkin and then decorating while enjoying great food vendors, this event has it all.”

The Floating Pumpkin Patch is a favorite amongst the Aquatic staff, as many do not know that pumpkins float. This event is free to all, where swimmers can pick their favorite pumpkin amongst the 400 available choices. Pumpkin decorating stations and kits will be available on-site to make your pumpkin come to life. There is a limit of one pumpkin per person.  The Aqua Track and Kids Run inflatable courses will be up and ready for everyone’s enjoyment.

Cabanas will be free for this event and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Enchiloso Gummies and Treats, Glacier Shaved Ice, Tropicana Juice & Fruit Bar, and The Pit Stop will all be on-site, ready to serve up some fantastic treats for everyone!

3rd Annual Trunk or Treat

City of El Centro’s 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat Transforms Stark Field into a Western Ghost Town for Halloween Fun

Get ready for a Spooktacular night as the City of El Centro proudly presents the 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat event on October 20, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Stark Field. This year, we invite you to step into the Wild, Wild West as we transform Stark Field into a “Western Ghost Town” for a Halloween experience like no other.

Trunk or Treat is a beloved family event where children can trick-or-treat in a safe and welcoming environment. The entire community is invited to participate in this free event, where children of all ages can dress in boo-tiful Halloween costumes and collect candies from creatively decorated vehicles.

“Trunk or Treat is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate Halloween, and enjoy a fun-filled evening in a safe environment,” said El Centro Mayor Martha Cardenas-Singh. “The ‘Western Ghost Town’ theme adds a unique and exciting twist to the festivities.”

This year’s festivities will transport you to a bygone era as we embrace our “Western Ghost Town” theme, promising a day of thrilling activities. Enter the spooky Haunted Trail, enjoy the fa-boo-lous food from our local food vendors, and if you are ready for some fun, join everyone on the main stage and showcase your spooky dance moves as you dance the night away in your inflatable costume during the Dance-Off.

2023 Walk for Recovery Event

The County of Imperial invites you to the 2023 Walk for Recovery event, proudly presented by our Imperial County Behavioral Health Services.

Join us this Saturday, September 30th as we walk hand-in-hand, promoting public awareness around mental health and addiction recovery.

$5 entry fee for all new and returning members ages 5 to 19. Adults with youth in attendance may participate as well, fee is $15.

Lerner & Rowe Injury Attorneys Helps El Centro Youth Prepare for the 2023-2024 School Year By Giving Away 500 FREE Backpacks Stuffed with School Supplies at the Imperial Valley Fairgrounds

Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys is pleased to announce that it will host a FREE backpack giveaway to benefit disadvantaged school-aged children living in El Centro, California. Local families are invited to drive through this contactless backpack giveaway on Thursday, July 20, 2023 located at the Imperial Valley Fairgrounds (200 E 2nd Street, Imperial, CA 92251). As quantities are limited, the 500 backpacks will be handed out at 3:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. K-12 students must be present in vehicles to receive a backpack.

Families are also asked to be mindful of pedestrians and other vehicles when entering and exiting the parking lot.

“At Lerner and Rowe, our team is immensely grateful for this first–time opportunity to host a free backpack and school supply giveaway in El Centro as a means to extend a helping hand to local families with school-age children. El Centro Day at the Ballpark at Petco Park

The City of El Centro would like to invite all Imperial Valley residents to join them on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 5:40 pm at Petco Park in San Diego for the San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Game.  This is our annual event “El Centro Day at the Ball Park.”  Tickets are available for $122.00 each, until June 29, 2023 or sooner if sold out.  Tickets are limited.  Each ticket holder will receive an insulated mini bag, until supplies last.  Please refer to the flyer for additional details.

El Centro’s Aquatic Center – Summer Kick-Off Pool Party

Calling all splash enthusiasts! Get Ready for a poolside paradise where laughter echoes, water sparkles, and summer vibes reign supreme!

The El Centro Aquatic Center is thrilled to announce the Summer Kick-Off Pool Party on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This exciting event marks the season opener for the Lazy River and promises an unforgettable experience for the entire community. Grab your friends and family and come celebrate the arrival of summer in style.

Small Cabana’s are $60 for the evening and Large Cabana’s are $100 for the evening.  Cabanas must be paid for by Friday, June 9th by 8:00pm.

To enhance your poolside experience, local vendors will sell delectable food and refreshments and DJ, Robert Flynt, will be here live to provide the best music in town. The best part? Admission to this incredible event is absolutely free! Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to create lasting memories with your loved ones.
