The American Legion Riders, Post 19 Present, the first annual “Helping Our Heros” Golf Tournament, at the Yuma Golf & Country Club. (3150 S Fortuna Ave, Yuma, AZ 85365)

Proceeds will go to help our local Yuma veterans in need.

$500 Entry Fee Per 4 player Team (Includes Lunch)

31st Annual Frankie L. Chavez Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser

Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser that was started in 1995 after our son Frankie and his friend Nathan Mata were killed in a car accident on December 4, 1993 in Calipatria. Frankie had just graduated in June from Brawley Union High School. Our event will be held at Hinojosa Park in Brawley, Ca. We will have live entertainment, Deep Pit BBQ plates for $15.00, (drive thru available) and our softball, and horseshoe tournaments. We will also raffle a 55 inch Onn 4K UHD Smart Fire TV, Robot Vacuum and other prizes. It is our goal to raise money so that we may award scholarships to Brawley Union High and Calipatria High school seniors who will be attending college. In 2024, the Foundation awarded $17,600 in Scholarships to a total of 44 graduating seniors. Thanks to the Community of Imperial Valley for their continued support.
