Imperial Valley 9/11 Memorial Event & Stair Climb

Imperial Valley 9/11 Memorial and Stair Climb Committee.

A committee that represents the Fire Fighter Community, Law Enforcement Community, and Public/Private organizations with the mission of ensuring that the Imperial Valley “Never Forgets” the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001. We do this by hosting a memorial stair climb that honors and pays tribute to the 343 fire fighters, the 60 law enforcement personnel and the 10 emergency medical personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice that Tuesday morning in 2001.

EVENT DETAILS: This year marks the 22nd Anniversary of September 11, and for the Imperial Valley we will host the 10th Annual 9/11 Memorial and Stair Climb event at the Imperial Valley Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 9, 2023, with our memorial ceremony beginning at 7:45 p.m. followed by our stair climb at 8:00 p.m.

Our Memorial Stair Climb is a way for the community to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Each participant climbs or walks the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center carrying the name and photo of a fallen hero to symbolically complete their climb.
