A campus map can be found here. \nThis event will provide students\, alumni\, and the general public interested in healthcare careers including Nursing\, Certified Nursing Assistant\, Medical Assistant\, Radiologic Technology\, Allied Health\, and other related fields with career information\, part-time or full-time employment openings\, internships\, and volunteer opportunities.AWC will showcase the certificates and associate degrees that are available\, and university representatives within relevant fields will also provide students with transfer information and pathways to attain their baccalaureate degree.“Arizona Western College is excited to be hosting the Healthcare Job Fair for a second year with this year’s fair being open to our community to attend\,” said Dr. Joann Chang\, AWC Dean of Healthcare Programs. “As the college of the community\, we recognize the importance of connecting our community to the healthcare jobs that are available and the educational programs that can support these positions.  AWC is making strides to provide the training\, certificates\, and degrees that can launch a healthcare career\, but also expanding our partnerships with our university partners to provide a pathway to a baccalaureate degree locally in Yuma. DESCRIPTION:Tickets on sale now for 2nd Annual Schoolhouse Soiree \nYuma\, AZ (August 23\, 2023) – Join the AWC Foundation as they celebrate 60 years of service to Yuma and La Paz counties at the 2nd Annual Schoolhouse Soiree.\n \nDuring this event\, the AWC Foundation will be honoring generous donors\, scholarship recipients\, and 2023 AWC Hall of Fame inductees Tom Tyree and John Stratton. \n“Join us at our 2nd Annual AWC Foundation Schoolhouse Soiree as we recognize the past\, present\, and future\,” said Gladys Anaya\, AWC Foundation Development Manager. “We will be celebrating our AWC Hall of Fame inductees who have positively impacted AWC and our community. We will also be recognizing scholarship recipients and the generosity of donors who have made those opportunities possible. This year is even more exciting as we celebrate 60 years of serving Yuma and La Paz counties.” \nThe Schoolhouse Soiree will be held on Friday\, October 6\, from 6-10 p.m. at the AWC Schoening Conference Center\, 2020 S. Yuma Regional Medical Center is the presenting sponsor for the event. \nLast year’s inaugural celebration merged two longtime AWC Foundation events\, the Hall of Fame and the Celebration of Scholars. The AWC Foundation raised close to $42\,000 during the event to establish the Gold Heart Endowment for scholarships. This year’s goal is to raise $60\,000 for 60 years of service to the community. \nEstablished in 2011\, the AWC Hall of Fame honors alumni\, faculty\, and community leaders from Yuma and La Paz counties who have made a significant contribution to the mission and goals of the college or distinguished themselves in service to the community and beyond. \nA native of Arizona\, Tom Tyree has served in public education for 50 years in various capacities as a teacher\, coach\, and Yuma County School Superintendent. They will also will also be listed on the registration website\, receive a slide at the event\, and be included on materials pre- and post-event.  LIMIT ONE (1) \nAdvocate Sponsorship ($2\,000) – The Advocate Sponsor will be able to choose and reserve their table (seats 8) after the Champion Sponsor has chosen theirs. Since there are four Advocate Sponsors\, table selection will be done in the order the sponsorships were purchased. Advocate Sponsors will also be listed on the registration website\, receive a slide at the event\, and be included on materials pre- and post-event. LIMIT FOUR (4) \nTable Sponsorship ($1\,500) – Table sponsors will have a reserved table (seats 8) at the event. There will be a shared slide shown and they will also be listed on the registration website and on limited pre- and post-event materials. \nIndividual tickets are also available for $100 each.
