DESCRIPTION:Lerner & Rowe Gives Back\, the nonprofit wing of Lerner & Rowe Injury Attorneys\, is going “feast mode” as it gives away Thanksgiving side fixings to 3\,000 families across four Arizona communities this holiday season. \nEach meal is packaged with love and goodwill by the Lerner & Rowe Gives Back team and includes green beans\, gravy\, stuffing and mashed potatoes. The holidays are one of many times that the organization contributes to the community\, but the holiday season gives them the chance to reconnect with the community in a more personalized way. \nDuring this no-contact event\, families are asked to remain in their vehicles and open their trunk or side door to allow volunteers to easily place items inside. One Thanksgiving meal package will be handed out per vehicle on a first-come\, first-served basis while supplies last.

DESCRIPTION:The Yuma Police Department\, with help from the Yuma County Fair Inc. and the City of Yuma\, is pleased to announce the “Scary & Safe Trick or Treat” at the Yuma County Fairgrounds on Halloween night from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This is a tradition we have renewed for the benefit of the children of Yuma and hope to continue it for many years to come. \n Local\, state\, tribal and federal public safety agencies\, along with businesses and local non-profit organizations\, will come together at the Yuma County Fairgrounds to give away “tricks or treats”. \n There will be plenty of entertainment available to help occupy the little ones while you wait in line. We will have stilt walkers\, dancers\, a face painter\, static display vehicles\, and the movie Nightmare Before Christmas will be playing on a big screen. \n\nWhen: Tuesday\, October 31 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm\nWhere: Yuma County Fairgrounds\n$1 admission fee per person\, which will benefit the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics\nWe will have the $5.00 per person fast pass set up again this year.\nThere will be an ATM on site for those who need cash.\n\nAll proceeds will be donated to the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

Local families are invited to drive through this contactless backpack giveaway on Wednesday\, July 19\, 2023 located at Yuma County Fairgrounds (2520 E 32nd St\, Yuma\, AZ 85365). As quantities are limited\, the 500 backpacks will be handed out at 3:00 p.m. on a first-come\, first-served basis\, while supplies last. K-12 students must be present in vehicles to receive a backpack. \nFamilies are also asked to be mindful of pedestrians and other vehicles when entering and exiting the parking lot. \n“We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to host a free backpack and school supply giveaway in Yuma that supports local families with school-age students. As daily expenses continue to rise\, we recognize the challenges many families face in providing their children with essential school supplies.
