DESCRIPTION:The City of El Centro is inviting residents to their annual Floating Easter Egg Hunt\, happening this weekend. \nThe event is taking place at the Aquatic Center Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. \nDuring the event\, the City says families can dive into the Lazy River to hunt for Easter eggs. \nThe event will be divided into four different age groups organized for children ages two to four\, five to six\, six to nine\, and ten to 14. \nThe City says\, “A parent\, guardian or caregiver must accompany children in the water\,” and says there will be lifejackets available as well as “participation is limited to two children per adult.” \nIn addition\, there will be food vendors on site\, and cabanas will be available to rent\, with the small cabana costing $15 per hour and the large cabana costing $25 per hour. \nThe admission is $5. DESCRIPTION:The City of Yuma’s Arts and Culture Division invites the community to the 33rd annual Children’s Festival of the Arts on Saturday\, April 18\, 2026\, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the Yuma Art Center (254 south Main Street). This free\, family-friendly event is open to all ages. \nThis year’s festival features an America 250 theme in celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday. Interactive art activities and exhibits will highlight all 50 states\, national monuments\, and U.S. presidents. As part of the experience\, the Yuma Art Center galleries will be transformed into a “White House” inspired exhibit\, featuring symbolic recreations of rooms such as the Oval Office\, Blue Room\, East Room\, and Green Room. \nThroughout the day\, families can explore more than 50 free make-and-take art booths\, where children can create hands-on art projects and take home their own masterpieces. The event also includes a foam party\, food vendors\, community booths\, and live youth performances featuring local dance studios\, martial arts demonstrations\, and music acts. \nInside the Yuma Art Center\, visitors can explore the annual Youth Art Exhibition\, showcasing student artwork submitted by teachers from across Yuma County and Winterhaven. Don’t miss the groups debut performance\, in Yuma! \nMarch 12 – Pete Pancrazi Quartet \nA not-to-be-missed staple of the Series\, Phoenix guitarist and vocalist Pete Pancrazi performs with his quartet\, always winning over audiences with his nimble guitar work\, warm vocals\, and personal charm. \nMarch 19 – Society Boys \nSan Diego’s favorite Trad Jazz Group has become a regular guest of the Village Jazz Series\, they are a rousing favorite on the traditional jazz circuit\, and their lively brand of Dixieland is always popular with Village audiences. \nMarch 26 – Yuma Big Band \nIn a return performance this season\, the ever popular and exciting Yuma Big Band will max out the Village Area with big\, swinging sounds!  Gotta love the YBB! \nApril 2 – Yuma Jazz Company’s Latin Jazz Eruption! \nSambas\, Bossas\, Calypso\, and Latin rock – the Village Area comes alive with the infectious sounds of the Latin Jazz Eruption\, returning after several years absence. Also happens to be YJC percussionist Brandon Coz’ favorite gig of the year – don’t miss! \nApril 9 – Cibola and Gila Ridge High School Jazz Bands \nHigh school jazz band night! They love to perform and you will be taken by their energy and talent! \nApril 16 – Danny Green Trio \nThe San Diego based group maintains an active performance schedule\, and has produced highly acclaimed recordings on their own as well as with strings and with vocalist Leonard Patton. The group particularly excels in live performance – come see them in person and hear for yourself! \nApril 23 – Arizona Western College and KOFA High School jazz bands \nThe exciting jazz band from KOFA High School will share this Thursday evening with Yuma’s own AWC Jazz Band. Both groups love to perform and the Village Jazz Series provides a perfect stage for their hard-to-contain musical energy. \nApril 30 – Yuma Jazz Company & Friends \nClosing the Series on a high note\,  the highly regarded Yuma Jazz Company will perform with some talented “surprised guests.” You never know who’s going to show up\, or what’s going to happen\, but you know it’s going to be fun!

Don’t miss the groups debut performance\, in Yuma! \nMarch 12 – Pete Pancrazi Quartet \nA not-to-be-missed staple of the Series\, Phoenix guitarist and vocalist Pete Pancrazi performs with his quartet\, always winning over audiences with his nimble guitar work\, warm vocals\, and personal charm. \nMarch 19 – Society Boys \nSan Diego’s favorite Trad Jazz Group has become a regular guest of the Village Jazz Series\, they are a rousing favorite on the traditional jazz circuit\, and their lively brand of Dixieland is always popular with Village audiences. \nMarch 26 – Yuma Big Band \nIn a return performance this season\, the ever popular and exciting Yuma Big Band will max out the Village Area with big\, swinging sounds!  Gotta love the YBB! \nApril 2 – Yuma Jazz Company’s Latin Jazz Eruption! \nSambas\, Bossas\, Calypso\, and Latin rock – the Village Area comes alive with the infectious sounds of the Latin Jazz Eruption\, returning after several years absence. Also happens to be YJC percussionist Brandon Coz’ favorite gig of the year – don’t miss! \nApril 9 – Cibola and Gila Ridge High School Jazz Bands \nHigh school jazz band night! Don’t miss the excellent young musicians from these two terrific music programs! They love to perform and you will be taken by their energy and talent! \nApril 16 – Danny Green Trio \nThe San Diego based group maintains an active performance schedule\, and has produced highly acclaimed recordings on their own as well as with strings and with vocalist Leonard Patton. The group particularly excels in live performance – come see them in person and hear for yourself! \nApril 23 – Arizona Western College and KOFA High School jazz bands \nThe exciting jazz band from KOFA High School will share this Thursday evening with Yuma’s own AWC Jazz Band. Both groups love to perform and the Village Jazz Series provides a perfect stage for their hard-to-contain musical energy. \nApril 30 – Yuma Jazz Company & Friends \nClosing the Series on a high note\,  the highly regarded Yuma Jazz Company will perform with some talented “surprised guests.” You never know who’s going to show up\, or what’s going to happen\, but you know it’s going to be fun!
