ACP Enrollment Event

Southern Border Broadband Consortium (SBBC) will host an enrollment event in Imperial County on Friday, November 17th, as part of a statewide initiative to promote the Affordable Connectivity Program’s (ACP) discounted high-speed home internet option.

SBBC, IVBRC and IVEDC will open its doors to the community, offering in-person enrollment assistance to eligible households. The event will be held at the Imperial Valley Business Resource Center from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, providing residents with the opportunity to learn more about the program and sign up for discounted high-speed home internet service. The Affordable Connectivity Program is designed to make high-speed internet more accessible for families in need. SBBC is committed to fostering digital inclusion and ensuring that every household can access high-quality affordable internet.

Veteran’s Day Fall Fiesta

Cardio Kickboxing

Try our exciting new class, Cardio Kickboxing, at the Calexico Community Center!

This high-energy, heart-pumping workout is designed for individuals over the age of 13 who are looking to boost their fitness levels and have a great time doing it.

We are excited to announce that the City of Calexico is now accepting entry forms for our upcoming event, “A Magical Christmas Parade.” We warmly invite schools, organizations, and community members to participate and submit their entry to make this festive celebration truly magical.

2nd Annual Halloween Carnival

Get ready for a spooktacular time at the City of Calexico Recreation Department Halloween Carnival!

Event Details:

A fun moment full of games, relays, music, and arts and crafts.

Special Treats:

The first 250 children will receive a free hot dog and a goodie bag!

“Land of Milk & Honey” Exhibition

“Land of Milk & Honey” Exhibition to Open at SDSU Imperial Valley’s Steppling Art Gallery

WHAT: SDSU Imperial Valley will open its newest art exhibition, “Land of Milk & Honey,” on Friday, Oct. 13 with a special opening reception, which is also open to the public. The exhibition, which runs from Oct. 13 through Dec. 12, is brought by Luis Hernandez, co-founder of MexiCali Biennial and director of the university’s Steppling Art Gallery.
MexiCali Biennial is a contemporary visual arts organization that works to provide a platform for local underrepresented and contemporary artists. The exhibition will showcase artwork from local and regional artists inspired by the region’s agriculture and foodways. The participating artists draw inspiration from the Latinx, migrant community. For more information, go to SDSU Imperial Valley’s website.
